Welcome to Studio Be: A New Home for Healing, Connection & Community in Downtown Napa

Why We Created Studio Be

If you’ve spent any time around us, you’ve probably noticed that Studio Be isn’t just a collection of classes, sessions, or wellness offerings.

It’s a feeling.

Not in the vague, hard-to-pin-down way wellness people sometimes talk about feelings. We mean a real feeling. The exhale people take when they walk through the door. The conversations that happen after class when nobody seems quite ready to leave. The moment someone realizes they don’t have to have the right words, the right experience, or the perfect reason for being there.

So what makes this place different?

Honestly, that’s a question we’ve spent a lot of time thinking about ourselves.

Studio Be began in 2023 when Melanie set out to create the kind of space she wished existed. Not another place telling people who they needed to become, but a place that welcomed them exactly as they were. A space that felt authentic, human, and deeply rooted in connection.

Around that same time, Rachel began renting space inside the studio to host her own sessions and events. What followed was less a strategic business plan and more a happy accident. Over the next two years, our communities blended, collaborations became more frequent, and what started as two separate businesses from very different walks of life revealed a shared intention at the center of both of our work.

We both wanted to create spaces where people feel safe and seen.

Where belonging comes before transformation.

When we officially became partners and moved into our new home in downtown Napa, the vision didn’t change. It simply became bigger.

The funny thing is, people often notice what makes Studio Be different long before they know anything about us or the work we do.

During the construction of our new space, our HVAC technician mentioned it within minutes of walking through the door. Our internet technician stopped what he was doing to ask what exactly happened here because something felt different. Even our contractor eventually decided to complete part of the project in trade because he wanted to be part of what was being created.

To be clear, none of these people were coming for a session.

Most couldn’t tell you what Spinal Energetics is. They weren’t looking for nervous system support, energy healing, or sound baths.

Yet every one of them picked up on the same thing: a feeling that’s difficult to describe but easy to recognize.

A sense of ease.

A feeling of being welcomed before you’ve earned it.

The experience of walking into a room and realizing your shoulders just dropped an inch.

We’ve spent years searching for places that felt like that ourselves. Places where the experience matched the promise. Places where people felt genuine. Places where connection wasn’t performative and belonging wasn’t something you had to earn.

Those spaces are surprisingly rare.

So we built one.

Not because we had all the answers, but because we knew how much it mattered when someone finally experienced it.

Maybe you’re navigating a major life transition. Maybe you’re building a business, raising a family, caring for everyone else, or simply carrying more than you’d like to admit. Maybe life looks good on paper but doesn’t feel quite as good on the inside.

You’re not alone. In fact, that’s exactly who many of the people in our community are.

And yes, we offer modalities that some people might consider cutting-edge. Work that lives at the intersection of science and the esoteric.

Experiences that engage with the nervous system, the body’s innate intelligence, and what some would describe as the biofield—the subtle but measurable ways we influence and respond to the world around us. For some people, that’s exciting. For others, it sounds a little strange. We get it. The good news is that you don’t need to understand any of it to feel the impact.

In many ways, what we do is less important than what people experience when they’re here. A sense of ease. A deeper connection to themselves. More clarity. More capacity. A feeling that they can finally exhale. We’ve learned that transformation rarely happens because someone perfectly understands a modality. It happens because they feel safe enough to explore something new.

That’s why you’ll never find much othering here.

No insiders. No outsiders. No wellness gold stars for knowing the right terminology. No expectation that you arrive with experience, certainty, or a particular belief system.

Just an open invitation to be curious.

To explore. To reconnect. To experience what happens when you step into a space intentionally designed for belonging.

Whether someone joins us for a group experience, a private session, a sound bath, nervous system support, energy healing, or simply walks through the doors of our wellness studio in downtown Napa for the first time, our hope is the same:

that they leave feeling a little more connected to themselves than when they arrived.

Because at the end of the day, we don’t believe transformation starts with becoming someone else.

We think it starts with feeling safe enough to be yourself. We’d love to meet you. Exactly as you are.
